LOS ANGELES — October 26, 2026. The next week of US-101 paving through Cahuenga Pass is scheduled to begin Monday evening, October 26. Caltrans District 7 says lane and ramp restrictions will affect the corridor between Highland Avenue and State Route 170 through Friday, October 30, with a separate overnight schedule extending into Saturday, October 31.
On northbound US-101, the agency expects up to three lanes to be closed beginning at 10 p.m., with the possibility of a fourth lane closure during the quietest early-morning window. On the southbound side, up to two lanes could close overnight beginning as early as 9 p.m. Caltrans warns that connectors and ramps may briefly close as crews shift their paving locations.
Pay particular attention to the US-101/SR-134 connections
The official schedule includes possible full overnight connector closures near Vineland Avenue, including movements between the Hollywood and Ventura freeways and from southbound US-101 toward eastbound SR-134. Caltrans outlines signed detours using streets such as Vineland Avenue, Riverside Drive and Moorpark Street; the detour varies by direction. Travelers should read the posted signs for their particular connection rather than assume every interchange is affected simultaneously.
The agency describes these as planned restrictions, subject to change. Use Caltrans QuickMap to confirm current conditions. Primary source: Caltrans District 7 October 23 schedule. Follow Los Angeles News.
